BlackBerry PlayBook Accessories
I bought the most recent issue of Monocle and I found quite an interesting BlackBerry Playbook Accessories insert.
Called "Made For PlayBook", it showcases the wide range of accessories available for the newest product from Research In Motion.
Based on the introduction, international creative agency Winkreative has handpicked the finest artisans from around the world to create a collection of accessories exclusively for the PlayBook.
I personally find this to be very exciting because there really hasn't been a lot of accessories made for the BlackBerry if you compare it with all that has been designed for the iPhone and the iPad.
Em-J's current favorite brand, Porter, has also been tapped to design a rugged looking sleeve.
Look at how cool the other designs are:
And my personal favorite:
They have a few more available:
I'm pretty sure you'd want to stand out, check out the PlayBook here!

Kuishin Bo - Birthday Lunch
If I had any more leaves, I would've taken a birthday leave but since my leaves are already all plotted out, I opted for the next best thing, to have a buffet lunch at Kuishin Bo at Jurong Point. It actually has one nifty Japanese food strip.
Kuishin Bo is value for money, the buffet lunch is only 21.90++ for an hour and about 28++ if you exceed the hour.
My absolute favorites are the salmon and ebi tempura.
Here are a few more pictures from the buffet spread. I wasn't able to take pictures of the other stations since I was already quite hungry.
One more great thing about the restaurant is the fact that they quickly replenish the food items.
Their dessert spread is also great except that they don't have the chocolates that I liked the last time I was there.

Who's Excited for True Blood Season 4?
Except for Covert Affairs, White Collar and the already near its finale Top Chef, its been pretty quiet on the TV front, that's why I'm really looking forward to the premiere of True Blood.

Best New Device
While I love my work laptop's pointing stick, nothing beats the ease of using a mouse.
But, any mouse just doesn't cut it for me, you see I like my mouse mini. I even use identical ones for work and at home.
I did see a mouse during last week's IT show at Suntec that might make me change my mind.
Canon's X Mark I Mouse:
Who would expect a mouse and a calculator in one? Apart from being a lover of mice, I also love simple calculators.
Now, if only I can get the Bluetooth of my work laptop enabled...

Accor Hotels' Crazy Prices
I received an email from Accor Hotel last night informing me of their members only crazy sale.
I checked it out and compared prices and this deal is simply too good not to share and to pass up.
Take for instance one of their budget hotels, All Seasons Bangkok Siam, booking the same dates for three nights:
Accor Promo: 4,038 pesos nett
AsiaTravel: 7,244 pesos nett (I almost always use this site as they often give out the lowest rates)
Booking: 7,244 pesos nett
Agoda: 7,563 pesos nett
Expedia: 7,262 pesos nett
Oliver, Analyn and I are planning to go to Bangkok and the timing is just perfect. You can choose from any of their hotels from the high end ones to the boutique hotels to the budget friendly. Check what comes free with each property as the high end ones don't come with free breakfast and wifi.
If you are not yet a member, just sign up online. Michelle also told me that paying members get additional 10% off.

Kuala Lumpur: Food Post
What excites me about any trip that I take is the thought of good food, though quite honestly, there's really nothing to be excited about. I don't deviate much from the usual as evidenced by my food choices when we were last at KL.
Apart from Honey Stars, this is what I also had for breakfast. Peanut Butter Sandwich!
We also had dinner at the open air "dampa" style seafood restaurant. It was honestly quite challenging to order because the cook doesn't speak English. We couldn't tell him how we want the prawns cooked. Ah eh...we resorted to asking one of their staff to look at what the group next to us ordered and ended up with prawns and squid cooked the same way.
Clams and fish also cooked the same way.
It's chicken overload at the mall, Nando's and Kenny Roger's.
Yes, Kenny Roger's. Em-J couldn't be persuaded to try another restaurant. I was initially successful in asking him to have lunch at Robot but he heaved a sigh of relief when we were told that it has already closed down. Weird cause they have signs all over the mall.
As for snacks, they're the usual: cupcakes, pretzels, cinnamon rolls and doughnuts.
The Krispy Kreme mini doughnuts were cute but they're not good.
We were also ecstatic when we saw Auntie Anne's and a Cinnabon store right beside each other.
I also saw Tutti Frutti, the yogurt store that Jencarps introduced me to.
We even brought back the same junk food from the grocery.
I did see this cute bunny shaped Maltesers.
At the airport, it's the same coffee shop while waiting.
I chanced upon Theobroma a little too late. I'll come back for their ice cream and hot chocolate next time.
We'll try to be more adventurous with our food choices next time. We'll try to.
